Build The Mixer

Difficult Build but Good Result

I would probably give this closer to 3.5 stars but rounded up because the finished product did end up meeting my expectations.

The reason I didn't rate it higher is because I had a terrible experience putting the Mixer together. This was my first time putting a Mustard product together but not my first time putting furniture together. It took several hours just to get barely halfway through. I had to stop one day and finish up the next day.

I had a lot of difficulty using the hex key (or Allen wrench) provided by Mustard to **** in the little screws. I'd get the screws in where indicated but trying to tighten them did not go very well. What helped was reading the comments on the how-to video tutorial where someone else mentioned that the hex key provided by Mustard is more like soft metal instead of hard metal, and they recommended trying a different one. Thankfully, I had one from previous furniture builds, and as soon as I switched to that one on day two of the build, it made such a difference. I think it took only an hour to then finish putting the Mixer together.

As I previously mentioned, I am actually quite happy with the final product. I think it's very solid and the color is great. It stands out but isn't too "loud." I'm using it to store bath towels and also realized some of my blankets could fit in it as well, so I'm very happy with the storage space it's providing me. I'm not looking to buy any more furniture in the near future but I would still consider purchasing another product from Mustard. I'll just have to remember to use my own hex key for the build.
