With two working mums at the helm of Mustard, we know the juggle of trying to ‘have it all’ oh so well.We asked the mothers here at Mustard some questions to see what we could learn from each other and also, how we could support them better too.
The locker is a staple in American culture so Mustard just works, it is something we have known we would do since we started the business, and we feel so lucky that we are able to make it happen already. It’s a huge new venture for us as we haven’t launched in a new country since we launched in the UK way back in 2018, but we quickly realised we were going to have to do this one a little differently. For starters, we don’t have a third sister who lives in America to manage everything on the ground and help set up the business! We needed someone to fill that gap, that’s where Hannah comes in! We’d love to introduce you to the newest member of the Mustard family, we think she’s awesome!
We ask the experts so you don't have to! This week, we interviewed Jean Egbunike, who knows a thing or two about PR. Jean is passionate about shining a spotlight on brands in the interiors, food + beverage and lifestyle space. Through her agency JE Communications, Jean has been delivering results for boutique brands for over 15 years.
Over the last few months, Mustard has welcomed a few new friendly faces to our team. With Em on maternity leave and Lizzy moving into a new role, we were in need of some new Customer Happiness Heroes. Say hi to Paris in Australia and Lu in the UK! We feel so lucky to have found these two when we did and have them as part of our locker loving family.
International Women's Day is celebrated every year on 8th March. It is a day to both celebrate the achievements of women all over the world, and also recognise the continuing gender disparity in society and push for social, economic, cultural and political change. As a business owned by two women, International Women's Day felt important for us and we wanted to shout about it! We are choosing to celebrate women in business, our family, friends and wonderful team.
There’s no denying it, these days at home are pretty tough. It's hard to stay motivated right now especially when juggling working from home, the big pile of washing, the kids and their school work - all while being pulled in a million directions!Looking after ourselves may seem bottom of the list but as the saying goes: you cannot pour from an empty cup.
Here are a few things that have been helping me get through. Sometimes we have to go back to the basics to help lift us up and energise ourselves whatever we have on our plates!
Get to know the people behind the emails, stories and products. As a small business, we want Mustard to be a happy place to work and to have customers who feel cared about. These are the people we trust to take care of you, get sh*t done and bring our business dreams to life.

Times are strange and we're all in need of some warm fuzzy feelings, some things to keep us (or our kids) busy and feeling inspired. We asked our little Mustard team to share the things keeping them going and bringing some joy right now. 5 things to watch with Jess I have been a big watcher of TV + Movies since I was a kid. A little over two months ago I started working here at Mustard and oh my goodness what a whirlwind it has been! I knew when I started it was the calm before the storm, it was the lead up to Christmas and it was a really lovely time to be able to settle into life at Mustard. Every day is different, but I am always kept busy! I thought it would be a nice idea to let you see a little of what goes on ‘behind the scenes’ at Mustard UK HQ...
