Styling Plants + Lockers with Patch
Hands up plant lovers, this one is for you! Plants and lockers are a match made in interiors heaven. There’s something about picking out the perfect pot and that extra pop of green that we just can’t get enough of! If it were up to us, we’d have a plant on every locker in our house (and we have a *lot* of lockers!)
Well, we’ve made our leafy green dreams come true with this blog post. We’ve teamed up with Patch to bring you the cutest plant and pot combos to go with our lockers - yay! There’s a plant for every style of locker and a locker for every room in your home. We had so much fun mixing and matching plants, pots and lockers to create these dreamy setups, and we have given you all of the deets to be able to recreate them yourself.
hallway
The Lowdown in Mustard | Bertie Boston Fern | Pink Dipped Pot
Lockers make great hallway companions, they are the perfect spot to pop your keys when you walk through the door after a long old day and there’s plenty of room for the ever-growing shoe collection! Hallways are usually one of the darker places in a home, so sun-loving plants are a no-no. Ferns are used to living in partial shade, so our pal Bertie the Boston Fern is right at home atop this Lowdown in Mustard! We chose the Pink Dipped Pot because it was just the right size to sit pretty on top of the Lowdown and we love the combo of pink and mustard. The shade is like a perfect mix of our Blush and Berry so it was right up our street!
dining room
The Midi in Olive | Fidel Fiddle Leaf Fig | White Handle Pot
We love styling any and all plants with our Olive lockers, it’s the perfect earthy shade to pair with our favourite home accessory, the houseplant! Patch’s Fiddle Leaf Fig plant comes in all sorts of sizes - we went with the little guy but he will grow super tall with all of the right love and care! At this size he is perfect for styling on top of the Midi in Olive in this beautiful White Handle Pot, but as he grows (and grows, and grows) he can be styled to stand tall next to your locker too. We kept the colours here super neutral for a laid-back and relaxing dining space. The Midi in Olive is a great addition for all of that extra storage, whether it’s for the fancy plates or a drinks cabinet is up to you!
kids bedroom
The Twinny in Sage | Pascal Neon Pothos | Blue Fractured Pot
For your little ones room, the Twinny is the perfect wardrobe to stay with them as they grow, from super tiny baby to toddler, kids to tweens and teens! Here we’ve styled the Twinny in Sage with Pascal the Neon Pothos. He’s not your average green-leafed friend, his foliage is a super striking lighter ‘neon’ green. It is also really low maintenance, so can be kept up high out of reach of small fingers without having to be moved to be watered every single day, and you can cut back any trailing stems without causing any harm to the plant, for extra safety and peace of mind. We loved styling it with this Blue fractured pot as it perfectly complements our Baskets in Navy and makes for a lovely colour palette next to Sage.
kitchen
The Skinny in Blush | Jethro Lipstick Plant | Black Clay Pot
We love to keep a Skinny in the kitchen, it’s ideal if you’re lacking in built-in storage and can make a great addition as an extra pantry or a place for all those big clunky appliances with nowhere else to go! Jethro the lipstick plant is right at home in a nice bright kitchen, and being somewhere up high (like on top of the Skinny in Blush) means his leaves can tumble down. He also loves to be misted, so next to a sink is a great spot! This Black Clay Pot is a lovely neutral option which would work beautifully with any plant (of the right size) or locker colour!
bedroom
The Shorty in Berry | Suri Succulent | Pink Dipped Pot
Just like our Shorty, the Suri Succulent makes the cutest bedside companion, which is why they make the perfect pair! Succulents are really low maintenance and they like warm cosy rooms with lots of light, so a bedroom is just the spot. The rosy tones in the Pink Dipped Pot go beautifully with our Berry locker. We have teamed it with a little burst of Mustard florals for a pretty cute combo to wake up to on a morning, or to welcome you at night!
